01Who this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how HomeX legal entity name ("HomeX", "we", "us") handles personal information in HomeX HQ at app.homexhq.com, the HomeX Reps, HomeX Streets and HomeX Connect iPhone apps (together, the "Apps"), and on www.homexhq.com, including job applications sent through our recruiting site.
It applies to the reps, leaders and staff who use the Apps ("users") and to people who apply to work with HomeX ("applicants"). HomeX decides how this information is used. Aeuix LLC ("Aeuix"), the technology company that builds and operates the Apps, handles it on HomeX's behalf and under HomeX's instructions.
02What we collect
Account and profile
Your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and @handle; your role, title, team, office, region and manager; your hire date and account status.
Onboarding details
Your date of birth (to confirm you're 18 or older and for HR, payroll and compliance), your mailing address, your shipping address and your gear sizes (shirt, hoodie and shoe) so we can send you HomeX gear.
Work data
Deals and pipeline (appointments, sales, installs, cancellations), production numbers and rankings, commission and pay information shown to you, goals, competition entries and results, training progress and time spent in lessons, and a record of each time you agree to our terms and policies (which document, when, from which app, and your IP address and device type at the time).
Field data
Door knocks and their outcomes, notes, homeowner and decision-maker details you enter, appointment details, territories, shift start and end times and time in the field, and your location while you use HomeX Streets (see Section 3).
Device and log data
IP address, device and browser type, operating system and app version, crash and error logs, the times you use the Apps and the screens you visit, and a push notification token if you allow notifications.
Applications from the recruiting site
When you apply on www.homexhq.com: your name, email, mobile number, city, state, door-to-door experience, how you heard about us, your Instagram handle if you choose to give it, your consent to be contacted and the exact consent wording you agreed to, plus your IP address, browser type and the time, which we use to prevent spam and to keep a record of your consent.
From others
Your manager or HomeX staff may add or update your role, placement and hire date. Once connected, HomeX's own systems and partners (such as its CRM, payroll and installation partners) may provide deal status and pay information.
The Apps are not designed to collect Social Security numbers or bank account details. HomeX's payroll process handles those separately.
03Location in HomeX Streets
- Only while you're using it. On iPhone, HomeX Streets asks for the "While Using the App" location permission. We collect precise location only while the app is open and in use, for example during an active shift. We don't collect your location when the app is closed.
- What it's for. Showing you on the map, logging each door at the right address, territories, and your shift time in the field.
- In a browser. If you use Streets in HomeX HQ on the web, your browser asks for permission, and location is used only while that page is open.
- Your choice. You can turn location off at any time in your device or browser settings. Mapping and door logging won't work without it.
04Why we use it
- Running the sales organization: the org chart, teams, territories, leaderboards, competitions, production reports and training.
- Pay visibility: showing you your deals, commissions and pay information.
- Gear: ordering and shipping HomeX gear to you.
- Compliance: confirming age, keeping a record of agreements, honoring do-not-knock and do-not-contact requests, and following solicitation, tax and employment rules.
- Safety: helping leaders know who is in the field during a shift.
- Communication: sign-in codes, account emails, push notifications and announcements.
- Recruiting: reviewing applications and contacting applicants who agreed to be contacted.
- Security and accuracy: protecting accounts, preventing spam and abuse, and spotting inaccurate logging.
- Improving the Apps: fixing bugs and understanding which features people use.
- Legal: meeting legal obligations, such as tax reporting for prizes, and responding to lawful requests.
05Who can see what
Inside HomeX, you see yourself and the people below you in the org chart, never sideways or above you, with the exceptions below. These rules are enforced in the database itself, so they apply the same way in every app.
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Name, photo, @handle, role, team and office | Everyone at HomeX who uses the Apps (they appear on leaderboards and in Arena) |
| Rankings and competition results | Everyone at HomeX, as shown on leaderboards, competitions and production reports |
| Gear sizes and shipping address | You and the managers above you (your upline) |
| Date of birth and mailing address | You and HomeX administrators |
| Pay and commission details | You, and managers above you from Area Manager up |
| Door knocks, notes, homeowner details, field location and shift time | You and your upline |
| Job applications | HomeX Area Managers and above, and administrators |
| Records of your agreement to terms and policies | You and administrators |
"Administrators" are a small number of HomeX staff who manage the platform. Aeuix staff may access data only as needed to operate, secure and support the Apps for HomeX, and are bound by confidentiality.
06Service providers and sharing
We share personal information with these providers, only so they can run the Apps for us:
- Aeuix LLC, the technology provider that builds and operates the platform on HomeX's behalf.
- Supabase, for database hosting, sign-in and file storage, in the United States.
- Vercel, for hosting and delivering the websites.
- Apple, for distributing the iPhone apps and delivering push notifications.
- Resend, for delivering sign-in codes and account emails.
- Map and font providers (currently Esri for map images and Google Fonts for typefaces), which receive your device's IP address and the map area you view when your device loads them.
We may also share information:
- with installation, financing and other partners involved in a deal, when needed to complete it (for example, your name as the sales rep);
- when the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights or property of people, homeowners or HomeX;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of HomeX's business, subject to this policy; and
- with your consent.
07No selling of your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. The Apps and www.homexhq.com don't use third-party advertising trackers.
08Homeowner information
Reps record information about homeowners they talk to, such as a name, address, phone number, the outcome of a visit and notes. HomeX uses it to follow up about solar, to complete deals, and to honor requests not to be contacted again. It is visible only to the rep who logged it and their upline. A homeowner who wants to see or delete the information HomeX holds about them, or be added to our do-not-knock list, can contact us using the details in Section 15.
09How long we keep it
- Users: for as long as you work with HomeX, and afterwards for as long as needed for pay, tax, audit and legal purposes, generally up to 7 years.
- Records of your agreement to terms and policies: for as long as your account exists and for the same period afterwards, because they are legal records.
- Applications: 12 months after you apply, unless you join HomeX, in which case your application becomes part of your records.
- Device and log data: for a shorter period, typically up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
10Your choices
- See and correct. You can see and update much of your profile in the Apps. For anything else, ask your manager or contact us.
- Delete. You can ask us to delete your information. We'll delete what we can; some records, such as pay, tax and agreement records, must be kept for a time by law.
- Delete your account. You can delete your account from your profile in the iPhone apps, or by contacting us.
- Notifications and location. Turn push notifications and location on or off in your device settings at any time.
- Texts. Reply STOP to any HomeX text message to stop receiving texts.
- Applicants. You can withdraw your application or your consent to be contacted at any time by contacting us.
We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we won't treat you differently for making one.
11Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access rules enforced in the database, invite-only accounts and one-time sign-in codes. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your sign-in details private and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
12Children
The Apps and our recruiting site are not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
13State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, its use for targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Some of the information described here, such as precise location and account sign-in details, is considered sensitive under some state laws. We use it only to provide the features you use and for the purposes in Section 4, and not to infer characteristics about you.
California residents, including users and applicants: the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (such as name, email, phone and IP address), personal records (such as mailing address), professional and employment information (such as role, production and pay), internet and device activity, geolocation, and sensitive personal information (precise location and account sign-in details). The sources, purposes and recipients are described in Sections 2, 4 and 6, and retention in Section 9.
To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 15. You may use an authorized agent, and if we deny your request you may appeal by replying to our decision.
14Changes
We may update this policy. When we make an important change, we'll tell you in the Apps and ask you to agree to the new version. The effective date at the top of this page shows which version is current.
